*What is KOFU?

Kofu, in Japanese, means used fabrics that can be repurposed.

All fabrics are carefully selected, by Designer Miruka from vintage markets and second hand kimono stores in Japan.

Some of the Kofu is over 100 years old and still retain their colour and vibrancy.

Materials are usually silk, cotton or linen.

This is a light weighted chunky fabric necklace that you can adjust the length, short to long. Style it with a summer dress, collared shirt for a casual look. Layer it with your pearls and golds for a special occasion.

Every necklace is combined with different patterns so they are all one of a kind.

-Length

The necklace length is adjustable at the back as you tie.

The shortest style meets your collarbone and the longest will be on your centre of chest. (This length guide is approximately. It depends on the body size)

Beaded part is 41cm

Ribbons are approximately 32cm

-Materials: 100% silk and cotton vintage Kimono fabric/wooden beads(22mm and 16mm)/cotton thread/brass tag

-Weight approximately 47g.

Cleaning information.

The fabric I use is vintage kimono and most of the time it’s silk.

For long lasting, you should treat necklace as silk clothes so

I don’t recommend washing it unless you really need to.

You can also use fabric freshener and make sure you hang dry it after.

If you need to wash,

Only hand wash with cold water and gentle soap.

After washing I always sandwich it with a towel and

gently tap it to make sure it’s not dripping and wet. Hang dry only.
