Chunky Kofu Necklace with fabric covered toggle.
Kofu, in Japanese, means used fabrics that can be repurposed.
All fabrics are carefully selected, by Miruka from vintage markets and second hand kimono stores.
Some of the Kofu is over 100 years old and still retain their colour and vibrancy.
Materials are usually silk, cotton or linen.
Length: medium length necklace approximately 56cm Toggle bar to ring.
The bottom of necklace meets to under the collar bone.
-materials: 100% recycled kimono silk/22mm wooden beads/ 20mm x 30mm oval wood beads/cotton blend cord/brass tag
weight: 38g
Cleaning information.
The fabric I use is vintage kimono and most of the time it’s silk. For long lasting, you should treat necklace as silk clothes so I don’t recommend washing it unless you really need to.
If you need to wash, Only hand wash with cold water and gentle soap. After washing I always sandwich it with a towel and
gently tap it to make sure it’s not dripping and wet. Hang dry in shade.
